Welcome to Pawdad's New Stuff & Updates!****************************************************************************************************************************************** NEW - Grand Kids Sporting Events of 2011... Austin J. Keeton of Coldwater was recently in one of his first major rocket football plays of this season. The announcer credited Austin with making the tackle, but it is hard to actually hear on the instant replay. Watch the video of #27 in action; Austin is the one in the red jersey... Much of her pre-season training was provided by her older sister, Michaella. Here is a little video of Hannah (#25) serving and returning the ball... Click Here ****************************************************************************************************************************************** Michaella Johnson is having a very good season this year, playing for the Angola Lady Hornets Varsity Volleyball team. Her games are always pretty exciting to watch. Newspaper coverage of Michaella (#5) in action has been increasing during the last few games. To see a couple minutes of a recent game, Click Here
****************************************************************************************************************************************** September 2011 Paw & Queen went on vacation to Pigeon Forge, TN and the Smoking Mountains... On September 11, 2011, Paw & Queen went down south for a few days of vacation... Spent most of the time in Pigeon Forge, TN. and hanging out some in the Smoking Mountains. On the last day, we went to Gatlinburg to look around some but it was too hot there (like around a hot 85), so we didn't stay very long. Here are a few of the pictures that we took while we were there... ****************************************************************************************************************************************** April 2010 Paw & Queen went on Spring Break to Florida with Man, Maw & Boy... (Sorry for taking so long to get included...) We got a free ride to Florida with our daughter's family, with free lodging too! Our son's family was already there for a week and we got to all spend a couple days down there together before we all had to end up coming back home. We had a very nice time... Thanks Maw & Men... A few highlights of our trip can be found HERE. ALSO - With my new software, I was able to fix up the Florida 2008 page, PLUS added some short videos... HERE ****************************************************************************************************************************************** December 23, 2010 Christmas Message from Zoey Claus... ****************************************************************************************************************************************** September 2009 Paw & Queen travel to Pigeon Forge TN and Smoking Mountains... Yes, it rained every day but the first, at Dollywood (luckily)... A few photos from our vacation may be found HERE ****************************************************************************************************************************************** 1991 - Christy Was On the Channel 3 News...Something about School....
(Hosted by our old news buddy, Barry Shanley - Whom we saw in person, eating at the mall in Kalamazoo.) ****************************************************************************************************************************************** September 2008 "Paw & Queen's Vacation all the way to Northern Michigan" During the third week of September 2008, Paw & Queen traveled all the way to northern Michigan for a short vacation. The weather was a little chilly at times, but at least, it didn't rain.
More Photos from our 2008 Vacation to northern Michigan... Click HERE! ****************************************************************************************************************************************** Sept 22, 2008 "Christy's Request for New Photos" Christy requested that I add some new pictures, so HERE they are... ****************************************************************************************************************************************** July 6, 2008 "Queens birthday card from Jason, Christy & Austin" This year, Christy decided to pay way too much for a birthday card for Queen, just because it was so fitting. She thought about it for three days before she bought it. I decided to post it here because it plays music, and now, after the battery dies, we can still see the card AND hear the lovely music that it plays! ****************************************************************************************************************************************** May 10, 2008 "Hannah and Austin Enjoy Airplane Ride" On Saturday, May 10, 2008, Hannah & Austin enjoyed a FREE airplane ride over the greater Coldwater area. Austin has flown several times during his last 11 years but this was Hannah's first time ever airplane ride. It was fun watching her get on the plane for her first ever flight! It was kind of like old stuff for Austin, but he still enjoyed it and he saw his house from the air!

Yahoo doesn't give you too much for $10 per month...) ****************************************************************************************************************************************** March 22 - March 28, 2008 "Florida Spring Break With The Tebe Family" Pawdad and Queen traveled with the entire Tebe Family to Port St. Joe, Florida in March '08. Much was enjoyed there from March 22 through March 28, 2008. If you are at least slightly interested in this super fun travel event, click on the "Florida 2008" link, to the left... ****************************************************************************************************************************************** March 2007 "Pawdad's Las Vegas Vacation" Pawdad and Queen traveled to Las Vegas in March '07. Much was enjoyed there from March 18 through March 22, 2007. We finally spent enough time there to see a good portion of what was there. We probably only spent $8 or $9.00 in slot machines, but we came back with $40.00. A very successful gambling trip this year! If you'd like to see a slideshow of our Vegas Vacation, in seven minutes, click on the following link... "Vegas in 7 Minutes Video" (If you'd like to save the video to your hard drive for later viewing, right click on the link and select the "save target as" option.) Sorry for the reduced quality video; have to be web friendly, you know. Enjoy the program. ****************************************************************************************************************************************** December 29, 2005 "Christmas thanks to Steve, Shelly, Michaella & Hannah" December 29, 2005 "Christmas thanks to Jason, Christy & Austin" ****************************************************************************************************************************************** April 15, 2005 "Michaella Makes Local Headlines" On April 15, 2005, Michaella made local headlines for her participation in her school play, "Tales of Hans Christian Anderson". She starred as "Rosa" in the play. With only one week for rehearsal, Michaella (and all the others) did a fine job entertaining the audiences for two performances, one on Friday night and a repeat on Saturday morning. Good job Michaella!
Hendry Park players take to the stage Hendry Park students Michaella Johnson (Rosa), left, Alexis Holdaway (Farmer’s wife), and Scottisha Sutton (Daisy Lou), carry off Aimee Sills who plays one of the flowers in the opening scene of the "Tales of Hans Christian Anderson." Actors from the Missoula Children’s Theatre from Missoula, Mont., have been working with the students all week after school in preparation for their shows today at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. in the school cafeteria. Tickets for either show can be purchased at the door or in the school office. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Seating is limited to the first 250 people for each show. The show is being sponsored and funded by the Hendry Park PTO. She had no idea she was going to receive the award, until her name was called. She was very nervous, standing up in front of the entire school body and her parents. She received a nice gold medal for her efforts. Keep up the good work, Hannah and don't let any more of those wet toots sneak up on you...
****************************************************************************************************************************************** December 21, 2004 Our entire family gathered at Paw's house for Christmas on Dec 21st. That was the only day we could do it, when everybody was able to be there. Boo couldn't make it because he was sick. Our kids got together and gave us some really nice presents. Somehow, they all got together in Battle Creek and had some family photos taken, which was a first for all of them together for some really nice family photographs. Our 10 year old granddaughter (Michaella), painted a nice snowman picture for us. The snowman are supposed to be Paw and Queen with Hannah and Michaella. The family photographs and the painting made Queen want to cry a little. Our kids also went together and bought me a little fridge for my garage, to hold various beverages. That made me want to cry a little too, because now I don't have to carry beer up and down the basement stairs anymore. It will be nice in the summer too, for water. Hannah made us a nice stone birdhouse (with Michaella's help). That birdhouse will stay in the house so it doesn't fall apart from the weather. We got lots of other good stuff, including treats and candy. We had a nice dinner which included some really good ham. It was a real ham, complete with bone and fat, which made it taste very good. We had a very nice Christmas (again) this year, thank you every people...Wanna see a few pictures? ****************************************************************************************************************************************** November 12-14, 2004 Queen and I went to Las Vegas for our first time! It was nice and very inexpensive for us; Queen's boss took all his employees (and spouses), at his expense. I wasn't sure if I liked the place or not, at first, but after getting back home, I decided that I DID like it there and plan on returning someday. It was a very strange place with a lot of different things to do. I didn't win anything playing the slot machines, but then again, I only spent $4.00 playing them. We didn't really understand how they worked but have since bought "Hoyle Casino" and I have been practicing up for next trip. We stayed at "Harrah's" which was a very nice place. We had awfully good food and walked and walked and walked and walked. Queen's boss also paid for all of us to see Celine Dion at Ceaser's. That was somewhat expensive, but worth the money (even though it was also free for us). When we go back, I would like to stay a little longer so we can maybe see a little more. Wanna see a few pictures?
****************************************************************************************************************************************** November 11, 2004 As I was beginning to rapidly tire from raking and blowing leaves, I purchased a new device for picking up leaves in our yard. I bought it after a recommendation from someone at work who also recently bought one. It appears nice but I will not be sure of operation until next spring when I begin mowing again (and the fall leaves, of course). The thing is called "Cyclone Rake" and may only be purchased from their web site (http://www.cyclonerake.com) or phone. Wanna see what it looks like? It is even supposed to suck up walnuts, we'll see....
****************************************************************************************************************************************** August 14, 2004 Austin J. Keeton (Clete) becomes famous at the first (pre-season) 2004 Detroit Lions football game against the Pittsburgh Steelers (The Sparks) at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan on August 14, 2004. Austin was randomly selected as the "Kickoff Kid" of the game (runs out on the field in the middle of the game to pickup the tee), but the Lions rep forgot to have him run out and get the tee in time. Robert Porche noticed that Austin missed his chance and walked up to him and said "Hey buddy, let me get you something"... He then gave Austin the gloves that he was wearing (sweat and all) and shook hands with Austin and Austin's dad. The Lions rep also gave him stadium recognition on their big screen T.V., gave him a little infield action and also presented him with a bag of stuff including a t-shirt, hat, a couple of used practice footballs and some Lions pencils and rulers. Austin actually came out farther ahead (being left out regarding the tee pickup), since he was then able to meet Bobby Porsche in person and get his picture and name on their big screen T.V. Austin was very happy. The Lions won the game, 27-21.
